Recent Dolce Hayes Mansion Review: "I had a very easy time finding the hotel using standard online map/direction websites. The hotel grounds were very attractive. During my interactions with the staff, they were all very professional and courteous. The hotel room was a little smallish, but it was a single and I was only there one night so that wasn't a big deal. The room did have a little balcony with a table and chairs, which was clean and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable with an abundance of pillows. The room had a lot of natural light and also easy to find light switches. The bathroom was clean, full of great light and the inside door was covered with a huge mirror which made makeup and dressing very easy. The sink and vanity had lots of products for me to use and were very clean and spacious for a woman. My only complaint was that the bathroom linens were a little scratchy and not quite as nice as the rest of the experience. Other than that it was a great experience."

| After reading the mixed reviews on this site, we were a bit wary of booking with this hotel. On the negative, some had mentioned noise, staff not helpful, difficulty finding the hotel. On the positive, some had mentioned beautiful facility, helpful staff, excellent food. Thank you all for your comments because they helped us to have a wonderful time at this hotel. We avoided potential noise by choosing a room not in the main building (the site of weddings and conferences, dining, and lounges); it was quiet where we were and we still got to enjoy the facilities and excellent food in the main building. The staff was terrific, from the desk clerks to the dining staff to the management; all went out of their way to accommodate us, including driving us to a nearby restaurant for a celebration when our rental vehicle would not start. The location of the hotel in a residential neighborhood away from downtown did challenge our GPS slightly the first night but the proximity to the park across the street simplified our search; and, we enjoyed peaceful walks in the park each morning. Finding our room was a little confusing at first but not once we understood the layout; the buildings are secured by the key card, which works well on he outside doors but erratically on the room doors. The rooms are adequate but the facility and the grounds are immaculate and beautiful. It's not called the Dolce Hayes MANSION for nothing; it truly has the feel of a mansion, with palm trees and flowers and nice areas for relaxing or activities. For us, this was much better than staying in a traditional hotel, and at a better rate than most. It felt like a honeymoon. No question about it- when we return to the San Jose area, we will choose the Hayes Mansion for our stay. |

| If you like older historic hotels,this place is for you. The Dolce Hayes Mansion is a little out of the way, but once there, it will transform you back to another day. The gardens are beautiful and grounds absolutely pristine. Dolce Hayes Mansion's staff were extremely polite and attentive. I'm already planning our next visit. |

| The hotel can definitely improve. We didnt even have shampoo and soap at the bath tub. No free drinking water available. Not many people were there. |

| The hotel was very nice... The service, however, was horrible! When we first checked in at the front desk, the people were very quiet and not friendly. There was weddings going on and it was very loud in our room. Our car got locked in the parking garage over night (which was never told to us that it gets locked!), we had to be at an appointment at 8am and it took someone an hour to come unlock the gates at the parking garage. Parking was very inconvenient. |

| I couldn’t book hotel at down town San Jose day before ½ marathons.
Just I needed some where very close to San Jose down town to get race.
Hotel location was very quiet place next to park, easy access to 101 freeways,
10min to San Jose down town if you drive a car 75miles/h speed from hotel.
There was no computer for guest use, no simple maps at front disk.
It wasn’t friendly welcome feeling when I checked in time of 6pm.
No smile on face or voice. I went out for dinner because I didn’t want disappointed with unfriendly services at hotel restaurant.
Big party of wedding was going on Saturday,
I was getting ready for race next day but loud music kept going on some where above my room until 11:45pm. I guess I picked wrong time to stay. |

| We enjoy our stay at the Dolce Hayes and especially the Spa and coffee. We have stayed here many times since it is close to family and we visit every 2 months at least. Love their coffee and staff help. |

| The hotel was in a beautiful residential neighborhood - safe for a morning jog. It was only a quick 10 - 15 minute drive to downtown! I'm definitely staying here again. |

| I don't know the San Jose area well, so maybe it was just me. I had a hard time finding the place. Once there, we were very happy with the hotel, grounds, and the breakfast. It was much more than we expected. We are planning a trip to the Winchester House sometime soon and will definately stay at the Dolce hayes mansion again. |
