Recent Doubletree San Jose Review: "My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this hotel. The location was fantastic- literally only a 3-5 minute shuttle ride to/from the airport. The building and room showed its age a bit. Nevertheless, the room was very spacious and the bed incredibly comfortable!! The service was very good as well. I ordered room service twice and, while expensive, was very  good. I order room service a lot so I know it is ALWAYS expensive, but this seemed on the steep side- example, a can of diet coke was $4 (I could go to the vending machine down the hall and get one for $1.50). The breakfast at Sprigs was also very good. My only real disappointment was the balconey- they advertise that each room has one. Well, really, you have a sliding glass door (which always let in more noise) to a small slab of space. There wasn't even enough room for a chair. I hardly ever left the hotel for 2 days and had really been hoping to eat and read in the fresh air. Still, I am certain we will go back to this hotel, the overall experience was great."
