I chose this hotel based on another's review of their stay, and based on that, my expectations were met exactly. Staff were quick to greet me each time I passed by the desk. They were very helpful with any questions I had, did printing for me, etc. One thing I was surprised by and did not plan on was the fact that internet service was not free. Though a minimal fee, it would be nice to offer wireless service to guests at no charge. Also, the word "downtown" in the name is misleading. not being familiar at all with the area, researching online and booking, I unfortunately mistook that to mean that the hotel was within the downtown area of San Jose. It was in fact 5 miles away. A sitting bench out front would be beneficial when waiting for transportation.
