Recent Fairmont Review: "This hotel exceeded all of our expectations. My wife had been hospitalized at Stanford Medical center for over a week. I chose this hotel because I wanted her to be able to relax before the long drive home. Upon check in, Ambrra, greeted me with a smile. I told her our situation and she kindly offered to up grade us for a small fee. Take the upgrade to the new tower, it's worth it. She then thanked me, yes thanked me for taking care of my wife. Wow. The lobby is absolutely beautiful and stunning. A few minutes after we got into the room there was a knock at the door. My wife answered, and a young female bellmen handed her a small box of chocolates with a card sent from the front desk. Upon opening the card it read, wishing you a speedy recovery from the front desk. Another WOW! That night we ordered room service, a little pricey but the food was fantastic. The next morning we ate brunch, again pricey but much better food than a typical brunch buffet. Overall the entire staff was friendly and seemed to care about their guests. The Fairmont certainly deserves it's four stars."

| Though the pool was not available until the last day of our stay, the hotel was a great place to stay, restaurants are available within the building, though expensive, but the totality of our stay there was very satisfying. |

| Apart from the great location, the stay at the San Jose Fairmont was a disappointment. The room was clean but was not adequate for the level of the hotel:
- No heat - there was a fan that couldn't be regulated by the thermostat and overall, the room was cold
- The bathroom had corroded plumbing fixtures
- The insulation of the room was very poor causing us to be constantly disturbed by noisy adjacent doors
- The shampoo and soap in the bathroom weren't replaced at all during our 3-night stay
This is also the only hotel we've stayed at recently that required an internet charge for printing out our boarding passes. |

| My wife and I were extremely pleased with the fairmount S J We were there for a concert at the HP pavillion which was a short cab ride away. As far as i could tell, it would be a reasonable walk. I did read som + and - reviews by others re the otel before I signed up.I thimk my standars are fairly high, but I couldn't point to 1 shortcoming of the our amenities. In house food was pricey, (expected that) but there were other optiond if you wanted to leave the hotel. e.g. Baja Fresh, Johnny Rocketds, Scotts Starbucks, etc. I would definitelystay there again. |

| Well i statyed at the fairmont to have a nice romatic night with my boyfriend. The only thing i did not like about the stanard rooms is that the showers where not modern. They had a very old style and the shower head was nasty (needs to be replaced)
