Recent Fairmont San Jose Review: "This hotel exceeded all of our expectations. My wife had been hospitalized at Stanford Medical center for over a week. I chose this hotel because I wanted her to be able to relax before the long drive home. Upon check in, Ambrra, greeted me with a smile. I told her our situation and she kindly offered to up grade us for a small fee. Take the upgrade to the new tower, it's worth it. She then thanked me, yes thanked me for taking care of my wife. Wow. The lobby is absolutely beautiful and stunning. A few minutes after we got into the room there was a knock at the door. My wife answered, and a young female bellmen handed her a small box of chocolates with a card sent from the front desk. Upon opening the card it read, wishing you a speedy recovery from the front desk. Another WOW! That night we ordered room service, a little pricey but the food was fantastic. The next morning we ate brunch, again pricey but much better food than a typical brunch buffet. Overall the entire staff was friendly and seemed to care about their guests. The Fairmont certainly deserves it's four stars."
