| It's not the Ritz, but it is a very well run hotel in central San Jose. The staff are extremely professional and courteous and the hotel is very clean. They run a tight ship.
The location is essentially the middle of nowhere, and the Compact Flourescent bulbs in the room are a bit off-putting, but if you are staying in south San Jose, this is a great option. I would gladly stay there again. |

| Can't go wrong with this hotel, very close to downtown San Jose (5 min) without paying the $20 a day that the hotels downtown charge for parking

| We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Santa Clara fair grounds. We arrived at around 6 PM and saw a police car patrolling in the parking lot. Not sure if there are theft problems, but it's reassuring to see police patrolling.
Lots of free parking. Free internet access is good too, but it was on the slower side (via wireless).
The room itself is clean and size is quite large. Hotel was also quite at night.
Free breakfast was nice. I only had issue with thier scrambled eggs which tasted like salty sponge, but how can you complain when it's free...
I only interacted with the front staff couple of times (checkin and checkout), and they seem friendly.
Overall, I think this is a good hotel for short business trip. |

| For the price in San Jose it is a good basic accomodation. Older, but they keep the place clean and the service and attention of front desk is great.
Typical Holiday Inn Express breakfast - bacon - eggs - pancakes... saves time and expense |

| The Holiday Inn Express was clean and comfortable. What else can you ask at the price. We were very satisfied and would stay there again. |

| Neighborhood is average and wasn't crazy about exterior facing doors. Otherwise hotel was newer, nice and clean. |

| Some Holiday Inn Express-es are set up like hotels. This one is definitely a motel, with open walkways and a small pool. The motel is located very near the fairground's dirt bike track and the airport's landing zone, which are pros and cons, depending on your perspective (I couldn't hear dirt bikes or airplanes inside my room, but it's hard not to when outside.)
The room was comfortable but not exceptional, with HIExpress standard linens and bathroom accessories. The showerhead was at an ok height - I didn't have to stoop to wash my hair but it won't be for people taller than the normal range. The breakfast area is smallish, and got crowded every morning when I was there.
This motel was a few levels above the other places in the area, but I also agree with the current 2.5 star rating that it has. Final note- this hispanic neighborhood has loads of great taquerias. Walk over to the Chavez Supermercado on the same block and check out the in-house restaurant. Top-notch Mexican food with taqueria informality. |

| Undestand that this is a motel rather than a hotel(no inside hallway, small breakfast area, a bit more noise). All that to say, everything else is on par with a "regular" Holiday Inn Express. The owners and employees are extremely service oriented and really do a great job. |
