Recent Holiday San Jose Review: "We reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights while our home was having some work done. I requested bottom floor next to courtyard. Our room was a little on the small side but had sliding glass doors which faced a lavish garden. I was a little shocked that no rooms came with fridge or microwave, Each was $10 extra. It is also pet friendly which was the main reason  for my ground floor request. Everything was very clean and the whole hotel is Smoke free which was nice. Each reservation came with 2 Full Breakfast coupons, which was surprisingly delicious. Eggs, sausage, hash browns, toast, fruit, coffee and OJ. It was quite filling. Staff was very friendly, We also found out the rooms in the buildings across were bigger since there was no courtyard in that area. Good info if you prefer a bigger room, rather than a nice view :)"
