Recent Moorpark De Vivre Boutique Review: "This hotel is a beautiful property, nice wood, rich color, with a fireplace & sitting area in the lobby. The staff was all friendly and very attentive. A few minutes after we arrived in our room they front desk gentleman called to make sure everything was to our liking. We stayed on the Club level & the room was very well appointed and clean. There is a large sitting area on the club level and they serve milk and cookies each evening. The bed was comfortable with good pillows. The only drawback to the room was that the nice wood blinds don't do a very good job of keeping the room dark for late sleepers. If you are a sound sleeper or up early it isn't an issue. The bathroom included fluffy but normal (not sheet size) towels which were hung on a wood rail which was odd for hanging the damp towels up to dry. The shampoo, conditioner, and lotion were luxe. They have free breakfast in their restaurant/bar which was really good. In addition to the normal fruit, cereal, bagels & pastries there was bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, potatoes, rice and oatmeal. All of it was good and fresh. They had several coffee choices and all of the juices. They have a nice dining area inside and you can sit outside on the patio. If you want to eat away from the hotel there is a Tony Roma's and an Applebee's in the parking lot. The pool area is awesome. They have a pool and large Jacuzzi with cabanas to relax out of the sun & loungers with individual umbrellas. One other note, if you have a room in the back half of the hotel and your room start shaking lightly in the afternoon, dona��t panic. It isna��t an earthquake. They have a huge washer in the basement that vibrates all of the rooms above it for a minute or so each time the washer goes into the spin cycle. Not annoying or scary, just a moment or two of a��Is this an earthquakera�� This hotel gets two thumbs up."
