Recent Sainte Claire Larkspur Collection Review: "Just returned from my trip where I stayed here. I was there on business, and had to work the graveyard shift, usually from 10 pm - 8 am. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to sleep well during the day, but that was not the case. The room was very comfortable, and the A/C was great, although I set it too low. I was able to get some peaceful sleep with very little noise from the street below. I was pretty impressed with the 3 different types of pillows they put on the bed for you, along with a chart describing each. Finding the right pillow is one of my pet peeves, but their pillow selection was excellent. I slept like a rock, so much so that I didn't hear the alarm as it had been going off for 45 mins. The pillow top mattress was perfect, the free WiFi was also a plus, and the food from the restaurant was unbelievable. I had the lobster ravioli one night and the Zucca Tortellini; both amazing! The bartender was extremely friendly, and had no problem wrapping my food to go so I could eat at work. Oh yeah, the tiramisu was awesome as well; had it 2 nights in a row. Read other reviews: at Yelp's website. Centrally located in downtown San Jose, you can't stay at a better place and have all the charm. One thing you may want to do is park across the street in the public parking garage on the side of the hotel. Not that the price was the issue, but they only had 2 guys running cars back & forth, which I think they ended up using the parking garage anyways. I just had to wait too long to get my car when I was in a rush. Much faster to just go get it myself! Enjoy your stay!"
